Very good racquet with a perfect blend of power and control. It is
best suited for intermediate players, but improving beginners as well as
advanced players will find it is a nice racquet to play with. The only
time I found it a bit difficult to control was when I was trying to hit
the ball really hard and heavy or at the net when given very little time
for volley. Otherwise it performs really well at the net, as well as in
other parts of the court. It is light and feels right in the hand. Very
good deal for this price.
I played with it a casual game as well and found it quite good, so I purchased it.
I play both full swings and spins.
I've used it extensively in past 4 weeks and found that it is indeed better for my elbows. However, my swing is gone. It feels heavy when I try to move it around faster, which wasn't the case with early rackets that I had.
So, will I recommend it? Sure, if you are playing long swing games from behind the court lines. But if you are thinking about going back and forth with quick swings on the court and get fast swings on the serves as well... this may not be the best choice. I am a beginner (been taking lessons for about 3 months) and just had a racket I picked up used at a sporting goods store. I felt like I was ready for "the right" racket so after some research I picked up the Liquidmetal 8. What a difference! There is a marked improvement in the shots I'm taking and I miss less because of the large sweet spot. Would definitely recommend this racket! I play tennis every week or so with my brother. I had been using a $10 used racket for the past year. There was a noticeable difference in my game and serve after I got this new one. I'm no professional, but this is a pretty good upgrade for my novice play.
